Schedule:
4x10.0 rotating shift schedule, including floating, holidays, weekends, and on-call/callback responsibilities.
Job Description:
This is a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a Level 1 Trauma center. The team caters to inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Nurses are responsible for the pre-procedural preparation of patients and post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care, with experience in GI post-procedural care preferred but not required. The role is best suited for nurses who thrive in a high-energy environment, specializing in care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-rays, and ultrasounds.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-procedural preparation of patients.
- Post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Two years of Registered IR Nursing experience.
- Telemetry experience is required.
- New York RN license.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
