Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with extensive trauma level 1 experience. This role involves both circulating and scrubbing duties across various surgical specialties, including orthopedics, urology, oncology, and more. The nurse will be expected to work two out of the four major holidays and alternate weekends as needed to support patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
- Facilitate safe and efficient surgical procedures by providing direct patient care in the operating room.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition during surgical procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room.
- Prior travel experience is required.
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years is non-negotiable.
- Ability to both circulate and scrub, with documentation of skill checklists provided.
- Strong experience in General OR, with skills required in various specialties including ortho, urology, oncology, Da Vinci robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, CVT, and trauma.
- BLS certification required.
