This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
The position requires a Day Shift schedule of 5x8 hours, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. On-call duties are required every 4th weekday and every 4th weekend, including some holidays.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Circulating RN to support our surgical services team. The RN will be responsible for providing patient care in the operating room and assisting in various surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, and more.
Responsibilities
- Perform circulating duties for surgical cases including, but not limited to, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and laparoscopic procedures.
- Assist with endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, and bronchoscopies.
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and optimal care.
- Manage surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room setting.
- Current RN License in West Virginia or compact license (pending license acceptable).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
- Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
