Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in inpatient psychiatric care to join our multidisciplinary team. The role includes working closely with patients who require complex nursing care in a supportive environment focused on recovery from co-occurring psychiatric disorders and substance abuse.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to address the individual and group needs of patients.
- Provide clinical supervision to Mental Health Workers to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Participate in the Co-Occurring Disorders Inpatient Treatment Program, focusing on promoting healing and continued recovery for patients.
- Assist with medically supervised drug and alcohol withdrawal and stabilization.
- Facilitate educational interventions to support strong and successful recovery outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with recent inpatient psychiatric experience (within the last 3 months).
- Psych/Behavioral Health experience with specific populations must be included on the resume.
- Willingness to float to other units and take charge shifts as necessary.
- CPI certification preferred; must be willing to obtain if not currently active.
- Active state licensure must be confirmed along with eligibility to obtain a Vermont license.
