· Number of Beds – 11 beds
· Number of Staff – 27
· Type of staff: Director, Manager, Charge RN, 6-7 RN, OB Scrub Tech
o Day Shift – Director, Charge RN, 4-6 RN’s, Manage, OB Scrub Tech
o Night Shift – Charge RN, 3-5 RN’s, OB Scrub Tech
· Patient Ratios – 1:1 or 1:2
· Type of equipment – Syringes, lancets, catheters, IV, resuscitators, fetal monitor, infant warmer, epidural pump, labor bed, OR table, SCD
· EMR – Meditech, Centricity CPN
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
· BLS, ALS, NRP, STABLE & Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
· Same as above
· Certified- electronic fetal monitoring
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
· Monitor both mother and baby, pre and post birth, physicals, diagnostics, perform tests on newborns, epidurals, detailed record keeping, OR circulating
· Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs, follows physician orders, administers medications, monitor vital signs, instructs and educates patients/families

· Critical Thinker, decisive judgement, empathy, effective patient care experience
· Follows standard precautions using protective equipment as required
Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
· Scrub Color - Navy Blue – nothing else.
