Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Registered Nurse for our mental health unit. The psychiatric unit features private rooms and caters to adults and children with various psychiatric diagnoses. The ideal candidate will be able to provide compassionate care while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Be visible and available on the unit to meet patient requests and needs.
- Lead therapeutic group activities, including coping skill building and recreational groups.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Gather patient vital signs.
- Perform verbal de-escalation and respond physically to situations as necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
- AHA BLS certification required.
- CPI or PMCS certification is mandatory.
- Prior travel experience is required.
- Experience in a facility of similar size or trauma level is essential.
- Epic experience within the past two years is non-negotiable.
