Delaware North Travel is hiring a full-time Retail Supervisor to join our team at Austin Bergstrom Airport in Austin, Texas. Our ideal candidate is experienced in retail operations, managing and leading a team, and delivering excellent guest service.
On July 10, 2025, Delaware North announced its US-based Travel Hospitality Services (THS) business will be sold to Areas, a global leader in travel dining and retail. The sale is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2025. Upon completion of the sale, all THS team members will become part of Areas. Areas will operate 369 locations in 27 airports and 12 travel plazas nationwide, with a U.S. workforce of over 6,000. What will you do?
- Supervises retail associates; completes store/warehouse operational needs by assigning employees and following up on work results.
- Trains associates and works to maintain retail standards, policies, and procedures
- Opens and closes retail locations as directed by management.
- Assists retail management with the daily cash procedures and operations.
- Monitors the store floor, assists with guests' needs and requests.
- Regularly evaluates, creates, and maintains professional visual displays; provides direction to retail associates regarding store merchandising and displays.
- Ensures the integrity of physical inventory and par levels.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety standards throughout the retail shops.
- Performs duties as assigned.
More about you
- Minimum one-year supervisory experience in customer service and/or retail environment preferred.
- Previous cash handling experience required.
- Previous experience working with a point of sale (POS) system required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and prepare written reports
- Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Basic math skills; ability to accurately handle money and count change.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Constant standing, lifting, climbing stairs, and repetitive motions.
- Bending, reaching, and climbing on ladders.
