Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Ohio requiring day shifts, Epic experience, and IV skills.
Responsibilities
- Hospital Med/Surg Tele unit with some surgical and burn patient cases
- Day shifts, working 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
- Floating to different units within the organization as needed
- Some call required during the assignment
- Uses Epic electronic medical record system
- Provide care including IVs, labs, medication administration, and patient education
- Must comply with Ohio fingerprinting process as part of onboarding
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Former employees eligible if separated for at least 6 months; current employees are ineligible
- RTO (requested time off) must be included with initial request
- First-time travelers may be considered
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
- Current certifications in BLS and IV therapy required
- Proficient in IV starts, medication administration, lab draws, and patient education
- Experience in a surgical or burn unit setting required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor or manager
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
