Shift Time: 7:00 AM-7:30 PM - 12 hours a day, 3 shifts a week
Expected Weekly Hours: 34.5 hours
Note: - Locals are accepted as well
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills and be able to work effectively in high-pressure environments supporting interventional cardiology procedures. This is a day shift position with a schedule of 3x12-hour shifts per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, angioplasties, and other diagnostic/interventional procedures
- Monitor and document patient condition pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
- Administer medications including conscious sedation as directed
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Ensure sterile technique and proper equipment setup for each procedure
- Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition with confidence and competence
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of New York
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Associate's Degree
- Scrub & Circulate experience is required - Must have experience with preparation and pass off of catheters
