An ICU Registered Nurse is needed for a 13-week contract, providing care to critically ill patients in a Level II Trauma, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital environment. The role includes managing patients in Stroke/Neuro, Cardiac (Cath Lab, Open Heart), Trauma, and General ICU settings (DKA, Sepsis). Nurses must be versatile to float between ICU units and Telemetry based on patient census and staffing needs. Responsibilities include ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, sedation administration, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and critical IV therapy. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility, ability to handle high-acuity patients, and willingness to float within scope of practice.Re
Eligibility & Requirements Requirement Details Minimum Experience 2 years ICU RN (strong candidates with <2 yrs may be considered) Travel Experience Preferred; first-time travelers accepted Certifications ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required) Charting System Cerner (preferred) Facility Type Acute Care, Magnet, Teaching, Level II Trauma Center Bed Count 412 beds Floating Yes – to all ICU units and Telemetry Guaranteed Hours 36 per week (facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per contract) Weekend Requirement Yes Orientation 36 hours (non-billable) Patient Diagnoses Stroke/Neuro, Cardiac (Cath Lab, Open Heart), Trauma, General ICU (DKA, Sepsis) Special Skills Ventilator management, sedation administration, IV therapy, ICP monitoring, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation & management Locals Accepted Yes Pending License No RTO Policy Up to 7 days, 1 holiday approved off Scrub Color Any (no camouflage or character prints) Parking Free #HCRR
