Position: RN - Nurse Educator
Location: New York, NY
Job Type: 13 week contract ( Possible Extension )
Shift: Days 5 x 8-Hour (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Expected Hours: 8 hours a Days, 40 hours a week
Note: Locals are accepted at different pay rates.
Note: This position is 50% in-office—developing, planning, and conducting training programs—and 50% in the field, supporting clinical staff directly through coaching, observation, and hands-on guidance.
Job Overview
This position provides and coordinates educational support for nursing staff and patients, with a focus on both Maternal and Adult Care. The RN Nurse Educator delivers evidence-based, patient-centered education, utilizing strong clinical knowledge, teaching strategies, and mentorship to support staff development and enhance patient outcomes. The role requires maintaining current clinical competencies and adult learning principles to provide safe, effective, and age-appropriate education across diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities
:- Mentoring and teaching current and future nursing students.
:- Designing, delivering, and evaluating educational curricula.
:- Writing and reviewing educational material, like textbooks.
:- Documenting the students' progress and advising them on their educational journey.
:- Researching and remaining up-to-date on clinical practices.
:- Developing patient care plans and assisting patients with their clinical needs.
:- Educating the technical and patient care staff in using new technology.
Required Qualification
:- Must possess a valid State of New York RN license
:- Minimum 2 years of Nurse Educator experience required
:- Must have Maternal Care and Adult care experience.
:- AHA BLS Required
