RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work in 40-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on 5th floor of Owen Heart Center
• Patient ratio of 1:4, with stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio
• Care for patients with CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, and post cardiac procedures
• Work every other weekend
• Float to all medical/surgical units, stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding as needed
• Must have stepdown or progressive care experience and telemetry experience
• Required experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, bumex/Lasix
• Preferred experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) and relief charge experience
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Use equipment including Zoll monitors, Baxter pumps, lift equipment, bladder scanner
• Work with Cerner electronic medical records system
• Perform bedside cardioversion procedures
• Dress code requires all white or all navy blue scrubs, or white top with navy blue pants
• Must demonstrate flexibility, positive attitude, team player mentality, and compassion
