Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care position with IMCU cross-training and strong MS/Tele skills required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a critical care setting with responsibilities in ICU, MS, MS Tele, and occasional floating to ED
- 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required
- Monday through Sunday scheduling with no block schedule options
- Assignment length is 4 weeks
- Must be comfortable floating between units including ED as operationally required
- No public transportation is accessible in the area, so a personal or rental vehicle is necessary
- All work history information including bed count, EMR used, and facility type must be provided for consideration
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- No block scheduling permitted for any reason
- Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires during winter months (November–April)
- Religious or medical exemption requests for required vaccinations must be submitted with documentation
Requirements
- Active RN license in NY or proof of NY license application required at the time of consideration
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent unit experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Recent EPIC charting experience within the past 2 years required
- IMCU training and comfort with floating among MS, MS Tele, and ED required
- Reliable personal transportation is strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation
