Junior Software Engineer

Sparta Global is looking for passionate and committed individuals who are ready to kickstart or grow their career in software engineering. You’ll be joining us as a Junior Consultant, taking part in fully salaried training and deployment opportunities with one of our prestigious clients.
The ideal candidate will be based around the Poole/Bournemouth area.
As a Junior Software Engineer you will:
- Work on live projects that deliver innovative, real-world solutions.
- Contribute to the design and development of scalable, maintainable systems.
- Apply your skills in C#/.NET development, with opportunities to explore CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies, and related technologies.
- Collaborate closely with senior developers, testers, and business analysts in Agile teams.
- Gain hands-on experience in modern software practices such as continuous integration, test automation, and version control.
- Develop technical and professional skills through structured training and mentoring.

Role Specifications:
We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate:
- 1–2+ years’ academic or commercial experience in C#/.NET development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to Agile environments.
- Interest or exposure to CI/CD, Jenkins, or related tools (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for technology.
Eligibility:
- Right to work in the UK (we cannot provide sponsorship at this time).
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid model – 3 days onsite in Poole.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Games Engineering, or a related STEM subject (or equivalent practical experience).
