Associate Attorney - Family Law

Job Overview
We are seeking an associate attorney to handle family law cases. This includes issues regarding divorces, paternity cases, and temporary restraining orders. Experience practicing this area of law is preferred but not required. We will train you on everything you need to be effective in this practice area.

The attorney must be licensed in Hawaii , but is allowed to reside anywhere in the world, provided that the attorney is available for phone calls during Hawaii regular business hours. You may be required to be physically present in Hawaii evidentiary hearings, which may once every 1-2 months.

Duties

Perform client intake.
Draft and issue demand letters.
Handle negotiations.
File cases on behalf of clients.
Attend court hearings by Zoom and in person.
Conduct evidentiary hearings.
Draft and review legal documents.
Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures.
Communicate effectively with clients to update them on case progress and respond to inquiries.
Use Clio law office software.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in Hawaii.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
