Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring Epic experience and current Ohio or Compact RN licensure.
Responsibilities
- Position is on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts weekly, 7:00pm to 7:30am
- Epic EMR system is used and prior experience is required
- Must work at least every other holiday
- Candidates must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate testing with a passing score during orientation, with a maximum of two attempts allowed
- Badging and onsite fingerprinting must be completed prior to start date after module completion
- Pre-start modules must be completed and are recorded via Silkroad
- Nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free requirements
- Permanent candidates cannot return to the client facility within one year of their previous end date
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Personal air-purifying respirators (PAPRs) are not an alternative for caregivers with facial hair unless medically or religiously exempt
Requirements
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State license required at the time of consideration
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be active
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification to be obtained prior to start
- Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience is required
- Prior experience with Epic EMR required
- One recent supervisory reference in the specialty within the past 12 months is required
- Acceptable results on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation are required
- No license hits or open background check cases are accepted
