Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 18 months of permanent specialty experience and active Ohio or compact licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Rotating day/night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, typically 2 weeks days and 2 weeks nights when needed
- Assignment duration up to 18 weeks
- Every other holiday is required to be worked
- Floating may be required based on clinical experience
- Responsibilities include comprehensive care of Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Must complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting and onsite badging prior to start date
- Pre-start orientation modules must be completed and are tracked via Silkroad
- First-time travelers are accepted with required experience
- Permanent and per diem candidates must wait one year from previous end date to return
- Nurses are temporarily exempt from the nicotine-free facility policy
- Personal respiratory protective devices (PAPRs) are only permitted with approved medical or religious exemptions
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact state RN license in hand
- Minimum 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience prior to travel
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
- References from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for are required
- No license hits accepted and background checks without open cases only
