Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position with night shifts, requiring BCLS and NRP certifications and at least 2 years of recent experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on the Labor & Delivery, LDRP, and Nursery units in a hospital setting
- Care for labor, delivery, antepartum, GYN, and multi-gestation patients
- Handle diagnoses including gestational hypertension and diabetes
- Perform unit procedures such as circumcisions, C-sections, inductions, hearing screens, and newborn screens
- Night shifts with options for 3x8, 3x12, or 4x12 hour schedules
- Required to work one Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday shift within every four-week schedule
- Average of 140-160 deliveries per month
- Team includes 1 charge nurse, 6-7 nurses, and 1 scrub tech per shift
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
- No on-call requirements for this position
- Must be willing to complete OSHA respiratory clearance and FIT testing
- Staff are required to be clean shaven for FIT testing
- All travelers can only work up to 1 year at a time and must take a 6-month break before returning
- Pre-assignment modules must be completed prior to start
- Coverage for holiday shifts may be required based on scheduling needs
Requirements
- Active RN license required
- Current BCLS and NRP certifications required
- At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery or related experience required
- Experience with Level 2 nursery, circulating, scrubbing, or triage preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Completion of pre-start modules is required
