Our Client in Montebello, CA is in need of a full time Data Application Specialist to provide user and system support for SFTP applications and other data transfer services, including associated workflows, schedules, deployments and configurations with meaningful use outcomes by providing technical and operational problem-solving support to internal users and clients. The Specialist acts as a subject matter expert for data transfer projects. The Specialist trains and educates internal users on designing, implementing, and troubleshooting file transfer automation using application and operating system tools.
Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of a variety of PC-based computers and peripherals, related software applications, configurations, networks and workflows.
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of SFTP and data transfer systems to develop procedures and perform systems analysis.
- Advanced level understanding of SFTP applications, operations, and system integration.
- Ability to write clear technical documentation for application configuration usage and troubleshooting.
- Advanced application of process improvement and Quality Assurance techniques and methods.
- Possesses analytical techniques to diagnose user, system, and workflow problems and offer corrective action.
- Possesses project management and process improvement skills including workflow design/documentation. Ability to resolve technical problems and issues.
- Ability to coordinate with others in organization, prioritization, and scheduling work assignments and produce results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and training skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
- Advanced communication skills, with experience in use of multi-media communication technologies, including conferencing (telephonic, web-based, etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to co-workers, clients and managers.
Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, or Computer related field and/or a minimum of 2 years' experience involving corporate SFTP systems and processes. Related experience supporting other data transfer applications and protocols are beneficial.
- 2+ years of experience in enterprise-class SFTP application required; experience administering Fortra GoAnywhere highly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience managing IT application projects required.
- 1+ years of experience administering Windows Server 2016+ required.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Linux OS highly preferred, specifically: AWS EC2, EBS storage, security groups.
Physical Requirements: - Sedentary work, at a computer; hand and wrist dexterity to utilize computer.

Environmental Conditions Critical to Performance: Work is in an office environment, climate controlled through central air conditioning.
Essential Job Functions of Job Description - Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically. Assist team peers with complex problem triage.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical system software and workflow issues while working with internal and external system users.
- Manage support tickets in internal tracking system across multiple teams related to SFTP system.
- Provide personable and professional end-user support to solve complex problems and workflows, with logical solution determination.
- Manage and standardize forms, systems design documentation, integration design, topologies, policies/procedures and system master files.
- Perform daily systems diagnostic and triage system related issues for resolution and maintain system availability.
- Coordinate with IT infrastructure team for changes and updates, while following change management processes/standards.
- Provide guided project management on identified project assignments.
- Perform validation for new systems integrations, builds, workflows, and production incident management.
- Develop, publish & implement system and workflow documentation as required.
- Promote system functionality and workflow enhancements through analysis, design, development, and testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
