RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development Unit

Secures new contracts.
Coordinates all ERESC contracts.
Supervises the Business Development Unit Staff and recommends appropriate practices and procedures to ensure effective operations.
Designs and implements business strategies for the expansion and growth of the Commission.
Manages relationships with partners and vendors.
Networks with peers, competitors and prospective clients.
Represents the ERESC at meetings and conferences driven towards the expansion and growth of revenues.
Attends on-site and off-site meetings and workshops as directed and needed.
Maintains confidentiality at all times.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Board Secretary

Attends all meeting of the Board of Directors as Board Secretary.
Assists in the preparation of agendas, setting forth all known items of business to be considered at Board meetings. Ensures Board compliance with all by-laws of the Board and pertinent statues, regulations, and policies.
Administers the oath of office to newly elected board members.

Facilities Management, Operational Contracts and Purchasing

Oversees the operation and maintenance of all school facilities and supervises custodial, grounds and maintenance services. Ensures that all local, state/federal standards and reports are maintained for the health and safety of students and staff.
Assists the Superintendent in projection of facility needs and oversees all construction programs.
Acts as the agent of the board in site acquisitions and sale/lease of property.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid New Jersey School Business Administrator Certificate.
Understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statue, code and GAAP requirements.
Knowledge of accepted business practices in school districts related to budget preparation and administration, risk management, purchasing, and transportation.
Supervisory experience.
Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

PAY RATE: $125,000 - 140,000
TERM OF CONTRACT: 12 Month Position
