R&D Tax Compliance Specialist

Leonid Group is partnered with one of the top consultancies in the R&D Tax space in the search for a Senior Compliance Consultant.

You will be responsible for reviewing R&D claims prepared by the Technical Consultants, ensuring accuracy, due-diligence and compliance with HMRC legislation and guidance. In addition, you will also be responsible for defending enquiries received, where further information and evidence may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Reviewing of claims prepared by Technical Consultants - including on complex submissions.
Managing enquiries to a successful resolution, guiding consultants and clients through the process.
Be the point of contact & technical expert for ad-hoc queries.
Support the Consulting team on technical scoping calls.
Be involved in pitching to prospective clients.
Contribute to the drive for continuous improvement, including technical training and process improvements

Experience Required:

Current background in R&D, with strong technical knowledge
Experience of reviewing/submitting claim reports and defending HMRC enquiries
Excellent attention to detail and able to identify improvements to processes
Self-starter approach and mindset
