Bids & Communications Designer

London | £50,000–£60,000 + benefits

Modus Careers are recruiting on behalf of a leading workplace design business for a Bids & Communications Designer, a unique opportunity to not only take ownership of visual communications today, but to shape the future of a department tomorrow.

This isn’t a role where you’ll simply be designing templates or formatting presentations.

You’ll be setting the creative direction of bids, proposals, and marketing communications, building interactive, digital-first responses (think microsites, immersive presentations, and boundary-pushing formats) that elevate how the business engages with blue-chip clients.

What makes this role stand out is its growth trajectory. Right now, you’ll be the go-to creative lead for all things bids and comms. In time, you’ll have the scope to expand this into a dedicated department, building out resource and redefining how visual storytelling is delivered across the business. For a designer looking to make a real impact and see their work evolve into a legacy, this is the chance.

You’ll work closely with leadership, sales, and marketing, translating complex information into clear, engaging visuals. You’ll also be the guardian of a refreshed brand identity, ensuring every output from RFPs to campaigns lands with clarity, consistency, and impact.

What we’re looking for:

5+ years’ experience in graphic design, with expertise in presentations (PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite).
A portfolio that shows creative storytelling across pitch decks, proposals, and marketing campaigns.
Confidence in translating complex client briefs into visually compelling ideas.
A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with strong organisational skills.
Ideally, experience in professional services, design, or architecture sectors.
Bonus if you’ve worked with After Effects, Figma, or video/motion tools.

The package:

Alongside a salary of £50,000 - £60,000, you’ll benefit from:
