Senior Electrical Project Engineer

A market leading M&E building services engineering contractor are currently hiring a Senior Electrical Project Engineer in accordance with a landmark commercial office shell & core development with a project value circa £100 million. The business is recognised for delivering complex M&E design and installation services to the commercial office, data centre, education, hotel & leisure, pharmaceutical and super prime residential sectors. Following successful business growth and a very exciting five-year forecast, an upcoming opening has arisen for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead one of London’s iconic construction projects. This presents a fantastic career opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a business recognised for delivering some of London’s most innovative construction projects, alongside offering long term career progression & stability.

Duties & Responsibilities

Attend pre-tender meetings.
Oversee preconstruction & procurement processes.
Management of site personnel (including schedule of works).
Ensuring projects are delivered in a timely & efficient manner.
Commercial acumen, regularly liaising with the internal commercial team with regards to costs of labour, procurement, final accounts etc.
Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, third party subcontractors and internal teams.
Build & maintain relationships with clients & supply chain.
MEP project management & site coordination.
Ensure HSE standards are adhered too.

Skills

Excellent technical knowledge of electrical building services systems.
Provide support to estimating, procurement, commercial & operational construction teams.
Preconstruction engineering activities including design development and highlighting areas of risk.
Project management & electrical installation.
Value engineering & procurement.
Stakeholder management.
Time management & organisation.

Qualifications/ Education

Relevant building services or electrical engineering qualification.
Experience managing electrical building services projects valued upwards of £5 million.
Knowledge of construction regulations and best practices.
