Main OR Operating Room Registered Nurse
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Main Operating Room team. This role involves providing care for a diverse range of patients undergoing various surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Details
- Schedule: D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedules
- Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs
Key Responsibilities
The Operating Room Registered Nurse will:
- Administer moderate sedation to patients in the OR.
- Provide high-quality nursing care for a variety of surgical specialties including:
- Orthopedics
- General Surgery
- Plastics
- Urology
- Cardiac
- Neuro
- Vascular
- Ophthalmic
- Gynecology (GYN)
- Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
- Thoracic
- Oral-Maxillofacial
- Trauma (Level 1 Trauma Center)
- Utilize advanced surgical equipment, including two Davinci robots for various procedures.
- Assist in the transplant program involving liver, kidney, and heart transplants.
Job Requirements
- RN License: Must possess a valid New York RN License.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of OR experience, preferably in a Level 1 trauma center.
- Moderate Sedation Experience: Required.
- IR Experience: Required.
- Certifications: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

- Ability to work collaboratively with surgical and clinical teams.
Additional Information
This position offers guaranteed hours with a contract of 89 weeks.
