Sr. Associate, Product Management - Data Product Adoption

This role is a strategic accelerant, focused on driving the adoption of our Commercial Bank's data products, especially among operational consumers. This person is a change agent focused on removing friction for both data producers and consumers.
Mission: To transform Commercial Bank's data environment by accelerating the adoption of data products. This will be achieved by defining consumption/production patterns, improving tooling, providing support, and freeing up resources for the future-state vision.
Key Responsibilities: - Drive Adoption Strategy: Develop and execute a holistic strategy to lower barriers to entry for data consumers and simplify the process for data producers
- Define Patterns & Tooling: Focus on creating scalable solutions-standardized patterns, better tooling, and clear support models-rather than building individual data products
- Lead Legacy Transition: Act as the product owner/scrum master for two tech teams currently supporting legacy technology, guiding their transition to enterprise platforms to free up capacity for the new vision
- Champion the User: Act as the voice of the data stakeholder, gathering feedback and ensuring their needs are met to foster a vibrant data product ecosystem
Ideal Profile: - Background in product management, product marketing, or developer advocacy with a focus on platform adoption
- Experience leading engineering teams through a transition, including agile/scrum master responsibilities
- Proven ability to define and improve developer or data user experiences
- Customer-Obsessed: Deeply empathetic to the needs and challenges of data consumers and producers
- Evangelist & Change Agent: Passionate about the potential of data and skilled at building excitement and consensus to drive change
- Pragmatic Operator: Can manage both a future-state vision and the tactical reality of scrumming teams on legacy tech
- Navigates Ambiguity: Effectively charts a course and makes progress even when the path forward is not perfectly defined
- AI-Curious: Eager to learn and apply AI tools to enhance brainstorming, requirements gathering, and product strategy

Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or military experience
- At least 1 year of product management experience or at least 1 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
- 1+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer facing digital products
- 1+ years of experience working on core product platforms powering digital experiences
- 1+ years working with cross functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Charlotte, NC: $99,100 - $113,100 for Sr. Associate, Product Management
McLean, VA: $109,000 - $124,400 for Sr. Associate, Product Management
Richmond, VA: $99,100 - $113,100 for Sr. Associate, Product Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
