As an Applied Epic Administrator, you will be responsible for the overall configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Applied Epic agency management system. This role ensures that Epic supports the business needs of the agency by managing system security, workflows, data integrity, reporting, and integrations with third-party applications. The Administrator partners with IT, Operations, and business unit leaders to drive adoption, efficiency, and compliance across the organization.
Performance Expectations/Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day administration of Applied EPIC including security roles, user access, and permissions.
- Configure, maintain, and update EPIC workflows, templates, custom fields, and forms to align with business needs.
- Oversee integration with third-party applications (e.g., document management, quoting, e-signature, VOIP/phone systems).
- Coordinate with Applied Systems and vendors for upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain data quality by monitoring imports, running validations, and correcting errors.
- Develop, customize, and distribute management and operational reports using EPIC's reporting tools.
- Ensure consistency of client, policy, and accounting data across all business units.
- Support data migration efforts for acquisitions and book rolls.
- Provide end-user support for EPIC-related questions, issues, and functionality.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for EPIC, bridging technical system knowledge with operational workflows.
- Ensure system configurations comply with agency policies, industry regulations, and data security requirements.
- Maintain audit trails, monitor system usage, and prepare reports for management and compliance reviews.
- Support leadership with system-driven KPIs, performance metrics, and process improvements.

Compensation & Benefits
- $90,000 - $110,000 Annually

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Applied EPIC functionality, security roles, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management and documentation abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education/Training Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience administering Applied EPIC in an insurance agency or brokerage setting.
- Knowledge of property & casualty, personal lines, and employee benefits insurance workflows.
- Experience with system integrations, data migrations, and report development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Applied EPIC, Vertafore AMS and HawkSoft
- Familiarity with SQL or business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Previous involvement in acquisition integration projects

- Some travel may be required for this position, primarily for attending training sessions, conferences, or meetings with clients or stakeholders. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be necessary for travel to off-site locations.
