Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Room position requiring 2 years of ER experience and AHA certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Emergency Department
- 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Patients seen for emergency and acute care needs
- Required to work every other weekend or as needed based on department demand
- May float within skill set onsite or to affiliated sites within 40 miles if needed
- Uses Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience required
- Responsibilities include providing care for patients with urgent and emergent needs in a fast-paced environment
- May be required to float to different locations within a 40-mile radius based on demand
- Rotation of holidays may be required alongside regular staff
- Scrub and dress code requirements to align with hospital standards
- Covid vaccination is not required
- Only one application to Ascension system-wide is allowed at a time
- Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate, subject to facility’s radius rule
Requirements
- Active RN license with Nursys verification and current primary source license verification completed within 30 days prior to start
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all AHA approved)
- Current TNCC certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required (updated per group requirements)
- Must provide US Social Security Number and valid US address
- Must submit two separate references, copy of Driver’s License, and skills checklist for consideration
