Senior Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney

An established and reputable Workers' Compensation Defense firm based in Orange, California, is actively seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a seasoned defense attorney with a proven track record in handling workers' compensation matters from inception to resolution, and who also brings leadership experience in managing staff and office operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage a high-volume caseload of workers' compensation defense cases.
Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including hearings, depositions, trials, and settlement negotiations.
Analyze and interpret medical reports, employment records, and other case documentation.
Draft pleadings, discovery, and legal correspondence.
Attend appearances at WCAB offices throughout Orange, Los Angeles, and surrounding counties as needed.
Oversee daily office functions and provide leadership and direction to support staff and junior attorneys.
Assist with firm management initiatives, training, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of workers' compensation defense experience required.
Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and office management within a legal setting.
Extensive experience with case strategy, litigation, and settlement negotiation.
Strong organizational, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
