About the Role
Foxtrot Family Law is hiring a high-performing strategic Family Law Attorney to join our mission of helping clients stand up for themselves in high-stakes custody, divorce, DHR defense, and adoption matters.
You should be ready to take ownership of cases from intake to trial and beyond. That means confident courtroom performance, sharp strategic instincts, and the ability to lead legal staff through high-pressure litigation. What You'll Do
Lead complex family law cases through pleadings, discovery, motion practice, hearings, mediation, trial, and appeals.
Conduct client strategy sessions, guide expectations, and clearly delegate tasks to legal support staff.
Act as both advocate and advisor-building strong client relationships while delivering results in and out of court.
Manage time, staff, and case milestones to ensure outstanding outcomes and strong productivity.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered, you must have experience with all of the following:
10 + contested family law trials as lead counsel, decided by a judge.
5 + depositions where you conducted the opposing party's examination.
3 + significant legal research and writing projects (including at least one appeal).
3 + formal mediations in contested family law matters lasting half a day or longer.

Can independently manage complex caseloads and meet demanding deadlines.
Have exceptional legal research, writing, and tech skills-Google Workspace, Clio, WiseTime, Westlaw/Lexis included.
Understand how to lead and collaborate with legal staff to get great results.
Are calm under pressure, client-focused, and solutions-driven.
Know the law _and_ how to practice it with empathy, integrity, and hustle.
Can consistently bill 30+ hours/week while maintaining high work quality.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $105,000 - $145,000 (commensurate with experience)
Annual earnings potential: $125,000+ with bonus incentives for productivity and performance
