**Job Description: Surgical Nurse (Travel RN)**
**Position Overview**
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Surgical Nurse (Travel RN) to join our dynamic team for a temporary travel assignment. Our facility is looking for a dedicated professional who is capable of both circulating and scrubbing in various surgical procedures. This position is expected to start on September 22nd and will last between 16 to 32 weeks.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate effective procedures in the Operating Room (OR).
- Utilize strong clinical skills in orthopedic, urology, oncology, Da Vinci Robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, cardiovascular thoracic surgery, and trauma.
- Maintain compliance with all established protocols and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Be flexible in your scheduling to accommodate weekends, on-call duties, and required holiday coverage (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day).
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in surgical units with previous travel experience preferred.
- Proven experience in a large trauma Level 1 facility is required.
- Proficient in the EPIC electronic medical record system from within the last 2 years.
- Skills checklist detailing circulating and scrubbing abilities must be submitted.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
**Additional Information**
- Candidates must provide complete work history details, including bed count, EMR, and facility type.
- Must have reliable transportation; public transport is not available in the area.
- Please be prepared to explain any employment gaps exceeding 90 days.
**Contract Details**
- 112 contract weeks with ongoing opportunities.
- Orientation provided every other Monday; next orientation available on October 6th.
- No block schedules accepted for any reason.
