Position Overview
Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a reputable law firm to find an experienced Associate Attorney for Medical Malpractice Defense. This position is remote-first, offering ultimate location flexibility within California, and provides a full home office setup. The role focuses on handling medical malpractice defense cases from inception through trial. The firm values independence, trial-readiness, and a strong connection to the medical field. Established for decades and highly regarded in their field, the firm offers a flat management structure and a strong internal promotion track, fostering a collegial culture with social events and a supportive environment.
Responsibilities

Conducting thorough due diligence for medical malpractice defense cases.
Managing cases autonomously from inception through trial.
Facilitating communication with clients, including UC Med Centers, Sutter, Alta Bates, Stanford, Kaiser, veterinary practices, and other medical-related entities.
Handling all aspects of litigation defense for large, stable institutional clients.
Contributing to a collegial and supportive firm culture with an emphasis on trial-readiness.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience preferred in medical malpractice defense or related litigation.
Must be CA-barred.
Strong autonomy and trial-readiness are essential.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Ability to thrive in a supportive and collegial environment.

Additional Details

Salary $110-$180k
Compensation varies based on years of experience.
