General Information
This inpatient overflow unit provides a mixed level of care for both medical surgical and step-down patients. The unit is designed for short-stay patients with a target length of stay of 24 hours, ensuring quick turnover.
Staffing Information
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:6, dependent on level of care
Equipment and Technology
- Telemetry: Patients hardwired to bedside monitors if indicated
- EMR: Cerner
