Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a local contract opportunity in the Emergency Department at a medical center in East Orange, NJ. This is a temp-to-perm role!
Job Function:
- Day Shift.
- 7AM - 7PM.
Administer and document all medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular), including oxygen administration and titration according to protocol.
Perform venipuncture to obtain blood specimens and manage IV lines, including discontinuation of IV heparin locks as needed.
Assist with wound care and dressing changes, and update Braden Scale and Fall Risk assessments as appropriate.
Provide general nursing care, including support with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene for patients.
Job Requirements:
Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Recent nursing experience, preferably in an Emergency Department or acute care setting.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Strong IV therapy and phlebotomy skills; IV certification preferred.
