**Job Description: Telemetry RN - Inpatient Overflow Unit**
**Shift:** 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
**Location:** Mission Main Campus, D Corridor, 2nd Floor (D2)
**Number of Beds:** 20
**Patient Ratios:** 1:5 to 1:6 (dependent on level of care)
**Unit Type:** Inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care - medical surgical and/or step-down patients.
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team in our Inpatient Overflow Unit. This unit focuses on short-stay patients with a quick turnover (average 24-hour length of stay) and may include both medical surgical and step-down patients.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
- Collaborate with a skilled team including 1 charge RN, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs during the day shift; similar staffing during the night shift.
- Monitor and respond to telemetry readings, ensuring timely intervention when necessary.
- Maintain a positive and compassionate approach to patient care, fostering a supportive environment for patients and their families.
- Adhere to all unit guidelines and policies, including required certifications and dress code.
**Required Qualifications:**
- Active RN license.
- Telemetry competency.
- Experience in Progressive Care settings.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Recent experience in Progressive Care.
- Strong desire to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
**Work Schedule:**
- Every other weekend required, with no on-call obligations.
**Dress Code:**
- Navy scrubs and/or white top with navy bottom.
**Floating Requirement:**
- Flexibility to float to other units as needed for patient care.
