Chewelah Veterinary Clinic has a wonderful opportunity for an early career or experienced veterinarian who is is passionate about practicing large animal medicine. Mentorship and learning opportunities abound in this incredible clinic.

At Chewelah Vet, there isn't much we don't do! We treat household pets, farm animals, and exotics, and even dabble in wildlife rehabilitation (we've treated bear cubs and squirrels!) Don't let our small-town community fool you, veterinary medicine in Chewelah is exciting and no two days are exactly the same.

As our newest associate, you'll join our 3.5-doctor team and will receive full support from our talented support staff. As a large animal specialist, you will work 2-3 scheduled days, plus 1-2 days on-call. You'll go on field calls and practice in our beautiful on-site barn, looking out across the fields to the stunning mountains in the distance.

Despite everybody confusing us with a Star Wars wookie, our town was the fastest growing city in Stevens County since the last census, and it's easy to see why. Chewelah has been ranked as the No. 6 silliest town name in Washington
The town was once the site of the largest magnesite plant in the country during WWI. You could say, it was the steel backbone of the nation during the war
Chewelah is actually the twin cities...move over Minnesota! Thanks to the Chewelah Golf and Country Club (which has a community considered part of the city), Chewelah is actually two separate city limit areas
Our town is comprised of farmers, loggers, hippies, artists and possibly a Loch Ness monster (aka the legendary "Chewie" monster)
