JOB SUMMARY: Sycamores is a contracted provider with city of San Gabriel to operate the San Gabriel Valley -Crisis Assistance Response and Engagement Program (CARE Team). It is an in-person emergency behavioral health service responding to crises in three regions throughout the San Gabriel Valley. The SGV CARE Team services include, but not limited to welfare checks, crisis intervention, de-escalation and stabilization, assessments, emotional/psycho-social support, and follow-up services to each client as appropriate.
This is a direct service leadership position designed to provide hands-on coaching direction and guidance to supervises within the program. In this role, the Licensed Supervisor is responsible for working directly with staff in the implementation of best practices that are consistent with policies and the agency's treatment philosophy. The Licensed Supervisor provides administrative and supervision to members of the San Gabriel Valley CARE Team. The Licensed Supervisor will be available for consultation during and following dispatched calls as well as to fill in when back up is needed in the field. The Licensed Supervisor will supervise, take the lead on mental health crisis, be on-call, and represent the SGV CARE Team to external stakeholders and community resources.
LPS Starting Pay Range: $81,120 - $85,280 per year for Full-Time employment (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background.) CLINICAL Starting Pay Range: $91,162.79 - $98,000 per year for Full-Time employment (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background.) JOB QUALIFICATIONS Clinical: - Master's or Doctoral degree in related field.
- 1 year's post license, registered with the CA Board of Board of Behavioral Sciences and/or CA Board of Psychology.
LPS: - Must be Licensed Psychiatric Technician in the State of California.
Additional Requirements - Must be LPS certified or LPS eligible.
- 1 year post licensure with related supervisory experience and advanced LPS knowledge of best practices.
- 3 years of management experience preferred.
- Excellent consumer de-escalation skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, creativity, flexibility, time management, and organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to manage and work through conflict in a calm manner.
- Ability to be an effective listener.
- Valid California Driver License and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.
- Maintains all required licenses and certifications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS - The ability to physically manage and/or de-escalate consumers/residents.
- Frequent driving to various work site locations.
- Frequent/continuous sitting with occasional, intermittent standing/walking.
- Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and chest level.
- Occasional/intermittent reaching at or above shoulder level.
- Occasional/intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, and climbing.
- Occasional/intermittent lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Continuous use of near vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills in handling telephone calls, interacting with customers and co-workers and performing job duties.
- Requires physical presence in the office during standard business hours.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
