Executive Assistant/Operations to CEO at EdTech Startup

Mission-driven edtech platform with 40 million users worldwide is looking for an Executive Assistant/Operations to support their CEO and team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that has achieved sustainable success while intentionally maintaining a lean, tight-knit team of 32. In this role, you'll manage the CEO's calendar, triage communications, keep him on track with tasks and commitments, oversee office operations, plan team activities, and provide light personal support. Someone who is extremely proactive and anticipates needs, can confidently manage up, and embraces a whatever-it-takes attitude to ensure flawless execution. This is an in-office role based in the Presidio in SF. 150-170K+ DOE + equity, excellent benefits, 401k with matching, and generous PTO.
Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day support to the CEO.
Manage the CEO's calendar, strategically coordinating schedules and prioritizing commitments.
Assist with inbox management, triaging communications and drafting responses.
Proactively track and follow up on the CEO's tasks and commitments to ensure completion.
Oversee office operations, including vendor relationships, workspace optimization, documents and filing, basic financial operations and billing, and cross-team communication.
Plan team off-sites and activities.
Provide light personal support, such as booking appointments, coordinating personal travel, handling paperwork, and managing occasional personal errands such as car maintenance, dropping off packages.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as an Executive Assistant, ideally within a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
Exceptionally proactive mindset with the confidence to manage up and drive priorities forward independently.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential issues before they arise and drive solutions independently.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft polished, professional emails and documents.
Exercises a high level of discretion and maintains strict confidentiality.
Flexible, resourceful, and willing to support the organization wherever needed.
Demonstrated integrity and team-first attitude focused on maximizing leadership effectiveness.
