Clyde & Co's Atlanta office seeks a highly motivated experienced attorney with 4+ years of experience in third-party insurance coverage advice and litigation. The position involves representation of international and domestic insurers with regards to a wide range of insurance products, including professional liability, director and officers', cyber-risk, media, and commercial general liability policies. The opportunity is suited to someone who thrives within a busy, stimulating and fast-paced team environment, and has a strong interest in working on complex insurance coverage matters.
What you'll do:
- Analyze insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage advice and recommendations to clients;
- Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda;
- Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs and other legal correspondence;
- Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties;
- Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Excellent legal research, writing and verbal communication skills;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature;
- The Ability to handle time sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously;
- The Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
- The Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
Education and Experience
- Excellent academic credentials;
- Admitted to practice in Georgia;
- 4+ years of experience in complex third-party insurance coverage litigation matters;
- Strong experience in professional liability. Experience in D&O and/or cyber-risk and media policies is a real plus;
- Litigation experience.
