We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our team. This position involves working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with responsibilities including holidays, on-call, and callback as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identity and verify exams prior to scans, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with physicians to provide effective diagnostic imaging services.
- Prepare patients for scans, explaining procedures to ensure comfort.
- Insert IVs as necessary for tests.
- Position patients safely and effectively, including those with limited mobility, utilizing approved patient handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC, documenting all necessary components and ensuring correct image transfer to the PACS system after exams.
- Ensure a clean and safe scanning facility at all times.
Requirements:
- Completion of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Current Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- New York State licensure (must obtain prior to starting the position).
- Two (2) years of Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Injection certification (must be willing to complete during orientation).
- Experience with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment.
