Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIVISION ACQUISITION SUPPORT DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Duties Help
- You will be the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Team lead within the Acquisition Support Branch of the Weapons, Sensors and Launchers Department.
- You will be responsible for leading a team of COR's who provide acquisition and contract oversight in support of multiple Department and Command programs.
- You will provide daily direction, policy guidance, training, and professional development support to team members. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective and compliant execution of contracting processes.
- You will assist technical personnel in defining contractual requirements, preparing procurement documentation such as statements of work and cost estimates.
- You will monitor financial performance, and conduct inspections to ensure contractual deliverables meet all technical and quality requirements.
- You will coordinate with department leadership and other technical codes to resolve procurement related issues, respond to emergent requirements and align contract support with mission and sponsor needs.

- This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 ($159,716 in Port Hueneme, CA).
Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and coordinating contract and procurement data to identify trends and make recommendations for improved processes and procedures required for the modernization of ship combat systems.
