Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform 10 ultrasounds per day in an outpatient/clinic setting
• Conduct GYN scans, dating/viability, anatomy, growth, NT, and BPP procedures
• Perform both transabdominal (TA) and transvaginal (TV) ultrasounds
• Provide ultrasound services for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester pregnancies
• Handle approximately 20 patient visits per day
• Operate specialized equipment including GE Expert 22, GE E8, and V-scan ProAir
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Provide care for pregnancy and gynecological patients
• Apply isolation precautions when required
• Maintain current ARDMS, BLS, and OB certifications
• Complete 40 hours of unit orientation
• Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually
• Work Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts from 08:00 to 16:30
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Maintain valid state licensure
• Provide two supervisory references from within the past 12 months
• Complete all testing requirements within 48 hours of signing
• Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Be fully available during orientation week with flexibility for schedule changes
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
