Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ED)

Location: Washington, DC 20037
Contract Duration : 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift (3x12s)

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the bedside trauma RN in the trauma room.
Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5.
Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to diverse patient populations.
Perform critical care tasks such as:
- Medication titrations
- Mass transfusion protocols
- Arterial line management
- Chest tube care
Utilize Cerner electronic medical records system for documentation.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Qualifications:

License: Active and unrestricted RN license in the District of Columbia.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Room RN experience.
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Education: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.

Preferred Qualifications:

BSN – Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Experience with Cerner EMR system.
