MQ Administrator

Piper Companies is seeking a cleared MQ Admin to join a mission- critical forward team based in Annapolis Junction, MD or Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities for the MQ Admin include:

Monitor and maintain MQ systems to ensure uptime, performance, and smooth operation of queues, channels, and other MQ objects.
Manage security protocols, including user access, permissions, and secure data transmission across MQ environments.
Perform troubleshooting and incident response, coordinating with support teams and addressing alerts to maintain system availability.
Apply updates and manage recovery operations, including patches, backups, and disaster recovery drills, following established procedures.
Collaborate and document by working with IT teams, tracking system usage, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications for the MQ Admin include:

7+ years of experience in a MQ Administrator role or in a related field
Active Secret clearance is required .
This individual must be able to accommodate a rotational on-call schedule as needed.
Experience with WebSphere
Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
IBM System Admin for MQ certification

Compensation for the MQ Admin includes:

Salary Range: $110,000- $115,000 depending on experience*
Full Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package (Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401k, Paid Time Off, and Sick Leave (if required by law)
