Our Opportunity We are currently seeking a
Corrosion Engineer for our
Materials & Corrosion Engineering Practice in
Atlanta, GA . In this role you will work as part of a team to conduct materials and mechanical failure analyses.
You will be responsible for - Conducting hands-on failure analysis
- Planning and executing laboratory tests
- Performing field inspections
- Conducting SEM operation, metallurgical analysis and testing
- Communicating effectively with other engineers and technicians, managers, clients, and administrative staff
You will have the following skills and qualifications - Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering or Metallurgy/Metallurgical Engineering, or related field, with specific emphasis on corrosion mechanisms and/or corrosion prevention
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within project teams with a strong desire to contribute
- Specialized knowledge and experience of corrosion science with a strong background in electrochemical techniques is required
- AMPP certification (e.g., CIP1 or CP1) is desirable but not required
- Specialized knowledge and experience in failure analysis and coating technology is desire
- Presently legally authorized to work in the US, no immigration sponsorship or visa processing required
