Description
The Wound Care Nurse is a Registered Nurse who provides patient care services for patients with fecal and urinary diversions, acute and chronic wounds, drains, pressure injuries, peristomal skin issues, and skin issues as defined by the Wound Ostomy and Continence (WOCN) Organization. Functions independently in both acute and patient care settings and outpatient services. The Wound Care RN also serves in a consultative and educational role for medical and nursing staff, and education role for the professional and lay community.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Certified Wound, Ostomy Nurse (WOCN) by Wound, Ostomy, Continence Certification Board (WOCN-CB) upon hire.
- 2 years Acute care clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Continence Certification by the WOCN-CB upon hire.
- 1 year Experience as a WOCN.
