Job Description:
Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company, is seeking an Engineer to support our Manufacturing and Process team, located at our Huntsville AMF facility.
Essential Functions:
- Support manufacturing engineering in the troubleshooting of complex operations involved in the manufacture of insulation components, insulated rocket motor cases, composite rocket motor components, and rocket motor assembly operation.
- Originate, prepare, and maintain detailed planning (Standard Operating Procedures) for the manufacture of rocket warhead components. Perform hands-on pilot operations for manufacture of new inert or energetic components, and development program components and assemblies. Accurately report problems, solutions, and results in concise written and oral communications.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other related major
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Software applications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- At least 1 year of experience working independently to manage projects, full cycle
