Qualifications: - Experience with TAK: At least 3 years of experience with TAK or related geospatial systems in an operational or technical support role.
- Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Security Expertise: Strong understanding of security principles, including FISMA, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs.
- Networking Knowledge: Proficiency in network communications, including TCP/IP, multicast, and secure data transmission.
- Troubleshooting: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time operational environments.
- Data Integration: Experience with data integration processes, APIs, and protocols.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $195,000.00 to $209,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

Position Title: Team Awareness Kit (TAK) Administrator
Location: Washington DC Capital Region

Position Summary: The Team Awareness Kit (TAK) Administrator is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of the TAK system within a specific environment, often in a cloud setting. This role ensures the TAK system runs smoothly, troubleshoots issues, and trains users on effectively utilizing the application for mission-critical operations. The TAK Administrator plays a crucial role in enhancing situational awareness and collaboration by ensuring the TAK system is secure, well-integrated, and operationally effective.
Key Responsibilities: - System Installation and Maintenance: Install, monitor, and maintain TAK systems, often within a cloud environment, ensuring they are up-to-date and secure.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide real-time technical support and troubleshooting to users, addressing issues and ensuring uninterrupted operations.
- User Training: Train and assist operators in the effective use of TAK applications for mission-critical tasks, including setting up custom geospatial layers, communication channels, and user permissions.
- Integration and Collaboration: Develop and maintain processes for integrating TAK with other systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and establish data-sharing protocols.
- System Configuration: Configure TAK systems to meet specific mission requirements, including setting up custom geospatial layers and user permissions.
- Integrate TAK with P25 communications systems to enable real-time location tracking, mission planning, and status reporting alongside voice interoperability.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and encryption settings for TAK applications (ATAK, WinTAK, and WebTAK) in compliance with organizational policies.
- Ensure secure data transfer, plugin functionality, and plugin compatibility with current TAK builds, including management of custom tools or overlays.
- Provide field support for TAK users, including configuration of mobile devices, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring access to live operational data.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures, including encryption, multi-factor authentication, and continuous monitoring, to meet compliance standards like FISMA High.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor TAK network connections, server performance, and TAK software updates, patches, and enhancements.
- Monitor TAK system performance, availability, and connectivity across end-user devices and backend systems.
- Document TAK system architecture, operational workflows, change logs, and training materials for end users and administrators.
- Communication and Feedback: Serve as a liaison between users and stakeholders, gather feedback, and implement system improvements.
