Videos Duties - You will lead and perform complex accounting functions including the preparation, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of financial data.
- You will provide authoritative advice and develop solutions for intricate managerial challenges; and utilize accounting information to identify and resolve financial and management issues.
- You will operate, maintain, and modify accounting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance; and manage and maintain accounting records within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System at a Working Capital Fund field activity.
- You will serve as a point of contact for various financial disciplines, including financial accounting, financial statements, asset accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and travel, and audit-related matters.
- You will serve as a point of contact for facilities collaboration and communication between the activity, NAVSEA, Warfare Center HQ, DFAS, and internal financial managers.
- You will serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and expertise within the accounting community.

Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
as a professional accountant, managing financial and accounting systems to analyze, interpret, and resolve accounting problems ensuring compliance with current guidance for the sustained support of a Working Capital Fund (WCF) activity. Accounting degree; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. Similarly, "accountant" should be interpreted, generally, as "accountant and/or auditor.")

A combination of education and experience
: at least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following:
- Twenty-four semester hours in accounting or auditing courses of appropriate type and quality. This can include up to 6 hours of business law;
- A certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor, obtained through written examination; or
- Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in accounting or auditing, e.g., 15 semester hours, but that does not fully satisfy the 24-semester-hour requirement of paragraph A, provided that (a) the applicant has successfully worked at the full-performance level in accounting, auditing, or a related field, e.g., valuation engineering or financial institution examining; (b) a panel of at least two higher level professional accountants or auditors has determined that the applicant has demonstrated a good knowledge of accounting and of related and underlying fields that equals in breadth, depth, currency, and level of advancement that which is normally associated with successful completion of the 4-year course of study described in paragraph A; and (c) except for literal nonconformance to the requirement of 24 semester hours in accounting, the applicant's education, training, and experience fully meet the specified requirements.
Additional information The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $156,755).
