If so, Join Renton Technical College as an Executvie Assistant for the department of Diversity, Equity, and Inlcusion! The Executive Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). This position exercises a high level of independent judgment and discretion in completing duties. The Executive Assistant performs a variety of complex administrative duties, budget management, report tracking, event planning, community outreach and special projects. This position collaboratively works with students, staff, faculty, and stakeholders, and serves as a liason for the Division of DEI. This position is expected to display equitable practices, cultural awareness, inclusive partnerships, empathy, confidentiality, and a student focused approach to solutions. The Executive Assistant will support the Executive Director advance equity and inclusion, while also implementing the institution's policies, regulations and procedures in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Renton Technical College.
The Executive Assistant position is a full-time and exempt role reporting to the Executive Director of DEI
. The salary range for this position is $79,840 - $80,340 annually. The priority consideration date for applications is August 3rd, 2025. Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions Include - Support the college's mission by creating a learning and work environment of mutual respect and fairness, while encouraging creative and critical thinking. Contribute to the appreciation of diversity and foster a climate of multicultural understanding by demonstrating multicultural competence (including an awareness and understanding of historically minoritized populations).
- Provide proactive, confidential, professional administrative support to the Executive Director of DEI and the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Collaborate and support other executive assistants on campus (including that to the President) as needed.
- Provide excellent and inclusive customer service and support through demonstrating positive and collaborative working relationships.
- Act as a liaison between students, administration, instructors, staff, SBCTC, and the public.
- Maintain the calendar of the Executive Director of DEI.
- Coordinate, schedule, and organize meetings. Secure and prepare meeting rooms, prepare agendas, and other materials as requested. Take minutes, transcribe, finalize, and distribute them. Make conference arrangements as needed.
- Attend meetings with or as the representative of the Executive Director of DEI as needed/requested; provide information, follow-up, and report conclusions to staff, transmitting assignments and request status information.
- Assist with the creation and development of training materials and programming relating to equity and inclusion; partner with college departments to ensure robust support and delivery of professional development to college community.
- Assist with creating purchase requisitions to ensure prompt
