About The PositionWe are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Physician Assistant for a 75-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting on Sep 22, 2025. This role requires working 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, focusing on inpatient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

- Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts, within the hours of 8-5 or 9-6
Responsibilities and Duties- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families about treatment plans and care updates.
- Participate in rounds, team meetings, and communication hand-offs.
- Maintain comprehensive EHR records including patient histories, physicals, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
- Assist with discharge planning and coordinate post-acute care services.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Additional Information- Bachelor's degree from an accredited PA program required, Master's preferred.
- Must hold current NCCPA certification and an unrestricted NY state Physician Assistant license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an inpatient setting, ideally in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine.
- Proficiency in Athenahealth EHR systems.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and critical thinking skills are essential.
